Understanding the Market
Before you start posting items, you need to understand how prices are set. Prices on the Auction House are determined by supply and demand.
- Supply: This is the amount of a specific item currently listed for sale. If many players are selling the same herb, the price will usually drop.
- Demand: This is how many players want to buy that item. During raid reset days (usually Tuesdays or Wednesdays), demand for potions, flasks, and food is very high, which can cause prices to rise.
- Market Value: This is the average price of an item over a long period. Do not buy an item if the current price is much higher than its average market value.
Essential Auction House Rules
If you want to make gold consistently, follow these core rules:

- Reset the Price: Post those same items back on the Auction House at their normal, higher market value.
